Foxy and the Hound
Client Service Policies
Booking and Payment
All services must be booked through the Foxy and the Hound scheduling system. Payment policies will be outlined at the time of booking.
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated.
Training Packages
Training packages and prepaid services expire six (6) months from the original purchase date unless otherwise specified. Any unused sessions remaining after the expiration date will be forfeited.
Pet Sitting Deposits
A fifty percent (50%) non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking pet sitting services in order to reserve the requested dates.
The remaining balance must be paid prior to the commencement of services unless otherwise agreed upon.
Drop-In Visits
Payment for drop-in visits is required in full at the time of booking. All drop-in visit payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation Policy
Clients are asked to provide as much notice as possible when cancelling or rescheduling appointments. Late cancellations may result in the loss of the scheduled session or deposit.
Weather and Environmental Conditions
Outdoor services may be shortened, modified, or cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions including extreme cold, extreme heat, icy conditions, storms, smoke, or other hazards.
Outdoor walks may not occur when temperatures fall below approximately −15°C to −20°C including wind chill. In these situations services may be rescheduled or converted to indoor training where appropriate.
Equipment Requirements
Clients must provide safe and properly fitted equipment including collars, harnesses, and leashes when required for services such as training sessions or walks.
Foxy and the Hound reserves the right to refuse services if safe or appropriate equipment is not provided.
Trainer Safety
Foxy and the Hound reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate services if a situation becomes unsafe for the trainer, the animal, or members of the public. No refund will be issued if services must be terminated due to safety concerns.
Behaviour Disclosure
Clients must disclose any history of aggression, biting, reactivity, or behavioural concerns prior to the start of services in order to ensure the safety of all people and animals involved.
Training Commitment
Behaviour modification and training require consistency and participation from the client. Clients agree to follow recommended training plans and management strategies provided by Foxy and the Hound.
Property Access
For services requiring access to the client’s home, safe and reliable entry must be provided. Foxy and the Hound is not responsible for missed visits due to incorrect lockbox codes, malfunctioning locks, or inaccessible homes.
Cameras
Clients must disclose any indoor cameras located within the home. Cameras are permitted for security purposes but must not be placed in private areas such as bathrooms or sleeping areas used by the sitter.
Photos and Media
During the course of providing services, Foxy and the Hound may take photographs or video recordings of pets during training sessions, walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting services, or other related activities.
These images or recordings may be used for purposes including client updates, educational materials, marketing, website content, or social media associated with Foxy and the Hound. No identifying personal client information such as addresses or contact details will be shared publicly.
Clients who do not consent to photos or videos of their pet being used for these purposes must notify Foxy and the Hound in writing prior to the start of services. Foxy and the Hound will respect such requests.
Pet Health
Clients must inform Foxy and the Hound of any contagious illness, parasites, injury, or recent surgery prior to services being provided.
Emergency Contact
Clients must provide an emergency contact and preferred veterinary clinic in case the owner cannot be reached during services.
